This modular, repeatable design approach combines components and services to customize the end-user experience without requiring specific configurations for individual users. To deliver a Workspace ONE and Horizon solution, you build services efficiently from several reusable components. This step allows you to identify and understand the products, components, and parts that need to be designed, built, and integrated.

Once the requirements are understood, the solutions can be defined, and blueprints outlined for the services to be delivered.

Each use case will entail a set of requirements that need to be fulfilled to satisfy the use case and its respective business drivers.
#Aws workspaces architecture drivers
The approach taken is, as with any technology solution, to start by defining those business drivers and then identify use cases that need to be addressed. The example architecture and deployment described in this guide address key business drivers.

This integration provides fast single-sign-on (SSO) access to a Windows desktop or set of Windows applications for people who use the service.įigure 1: User Workspace with VMware Workspace ONE Mobile device and identity services are delivered through VMware Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), powered by AirWatch, and VMware Workspace ONE Access (formerly called VMware Identity Manager).Īdditionally, Workspace ONE integrates with VMware Horizon virtual desktops and published applications delivered through Horizon and Horizon Cloud on Microsoft Azure. Workspace ONE combines identity and mobility management to provide frictionless and secure access to all the apps and data that employees need to do their work, wherever, whenever, and from whatever device they choose. You will integrate the components of VMware Workspace ONE, including VMware Horizon and VMware Horizon Cloud on Microsoft Azure. Use this reference architecture as you build services to create an integrated digital workspace that addresses your unique business requirements and use cases. Throughout this book, we listed the design decisions made for this example environment, along with the rationale for each decision and descriptions of design considerations. For validation, we built an example environment. In subsequent chapters of this book, design guidance is given for each product-with a corresponding architecture chapter devoted to each product-followed by best practices for integrating the components into a complete platform. This chapter includes an executive summary, information about VMware reference architectures, an overview of VMware Workspace ONE and VMware Horizon, architectural overviews and diagrams, general multi-site best practices, a list of authors and contributors for the various chapters of the reference architecture, and a changelog.
#Aws workspaces architecture series
This chapter is one of a series that make up the VMware Workspace ONE and VMware Horizon Reference Architecture, a framework that provides guidance on the architecture, design considerations, and deployment of Workspace ONE and Horizon solutions.
